The Secret Lake

December 12th
There is no reason to put a burnt out car in amongst this footage. I came upon the car today and it captured my eyes as much as the nature around it. Is there a difference? That car has a story but so do those hills. I could have spent an hour looking at that car. It was a painting.
The story is easier to tell about the car. Perhaps.
But the mountains and hills of Wicklow in Ireland have their stories that are far less obvious and probably worse than I could imagine. Though they can keep their stories hidden much better than that burnt out car.
We were going for a walk in a lake that I had not been to for well over 10 years and could only vaguely remember. Myself and Niall imagined that in a parallel universe we robbed a bank somewhere and burnt out a car, just for kicks. For kicks today in this universe we were going deep into the cold wilds of mother nature.
Today is December 12th 2018. My father died 12 years ago on December 12th 2006. Niall asked me whether my father would have gotten into the cold water. I would like to think he would have. But maybe he would have said what the hell are you doing out there? I honestly though can’t remember what he would have done. Memories fade and that is life.

Took my drone out which I am still learning to use and my new Ronin S steadicam.
