The National Citizens Inquiry testimony of Jeff Sandes, who has over 35 years experience as a journalist. He is currently freelancing for the Epoch Times and also runs a trucking business.
In his excellent testimony, he describes the type of training he received when he first entered the field. Back then, it was a noble call to be a journalist. Most were on the ground, gathering witnesses and evidence for their story. He says journalists had more freedom and were trained to be objective. Reporting on actual events and presenting all aspects of the story.
Jeff talks about the influence of advertisers and how the stories are sometimes suppressed if they are critical of the advertiser.
He talks about censorship and how search engines are used to influence the news and the dangers of Bill C-11 that let the government determine what is disinformation and misinformation.
He states that nowadays it all depends on who you work for. They have gate keepers ready to censor before you make any comment. When we are supposed to look at all sides of the story , they are now creating an environment where we put people on a pedestal or condemn them for wrong think. But the biggest shame is how media doesn't hold the government to account anymore. They've been captured by corrupt organizations like the Trusted News Initiative. There is nothing trustworthy about organizations openly calling for censorship.

The covid restrictions and mandates hurt many Canadians. Please listen to their stories.
