Redevelopment in REO Town Lansing
Despite the cost to develop old vacant buildings, new businesses are springing up in REO Town. On Wednesday Mayor Virg Bernero and the Lansing Area Economic Partnership announced the area will soon be bustling with more activity and commerce. Some investors are even finding gems inside the buildings as they get them ready. One owner told us he found brick behind plaster walls and tin ceilings. The mayor says tax incentives are important to breathe new life into an old building. One of the new businesses is the Wheel House Pottery Studio, which hopes to have its doors open by November of 2018.
