THE MAN ON THE ✝️CROSS

According to the Bible, Jesus died not on a cross but on an upright stake.
He was hung between two convicted thieves and died by the 9th hour of the day.
The soldiers divided his garments among themselves and cast lots for his seamless robe.
After Jesus's death, one soldier pierced his side with a spear to be certain that he had died, then blood and water gushed from the wound.
The crucifixion was always on a low hill outside the main city gate, just outside the main gate on the north of the city of Jerusalem.
The figure of Jesus on the cross symbolizes a merciful, gratuitous, immense act of love, fulfilling the destiny of humanity, frustrated by the disobedience of Adam and Eve.
