Drone captures grumpy horse starting a fight
A drone flight over a herd of horses in Keene, Ontario, captured a very unusual moment. Mystic Mel is the dominant horse in the herd. Prinz Harry is much more laid back. When Harry was eating quietly, minding his own business, Mel decided that she was going to move him away from what he was doing. Mel walked up behind Harry and backed into him aggressively with her hind end. She kicked out several times as if she was going to fight with him. Ever the gentleman, Harry politely moved out of range and continued eating as if nothing happened. Had he decided to kick back, a full out horse fight would have likely ensued.
Such behaviors in a herd are quite rare. It is even more rare to just happen to have a drone in the air recording when it happens!
