Countdown (by RUSH)

Our college band did this classic Rush song last year. It was the offical song for the launch of the first Space Shuttle.

“Countdown” was from Rush’s 1982 album Signals. The song is about the band's trip to Cape Canaveral, Florida to watch the launch of the Space Shuttle Columbia. The song was inspired by the April 12, 1981 launch of the Columbia Space Shuttle, the first reusable manned spacecraft.
