Beautiful and Well Favoured

Genesis 29:16-17 And Laban had two daughters: the name of the elder was Leah, and the name of the younger was Rachel. (17) Leah was tender eyed; but Rachel was beautiful and well favoured.
Leah was the older daughter and was tender eyed, which is a polite way of saying that Leah was not necessarily a pretty woman. Rachel was a beautiful woman and well favored, meaning that she probably received advantages that beauty can sometimes give. Jacob tells Laban that he will serve for seven years and receive Rachel’s hand in marriage at the end.

Jacob's time in Padanaram was full of sins -- on everyone's part. Jacob was taught many lessons by The LORD.
