AUGUST 26, 2023
🔸 Large hailstones caused severe damage in southern Germany, in Bavaria.
🔸 Cyclone Poppaea hit northern Italy.
🔸 In Genoa, Liguria region, about 200 millimeters of precipitation fell in 24 hours, with wind gusts reaching speeds more than 111 mph.
🔸 The storm hit the Balearic Islands.
🔸 A storm brought heavy rains to France. A huge landslide in the Savoie department.

AUGUST 27, 2023
🔹 Heavy rains caused floods and landslides in vast areas of Tajikistan, resulting in more than 10 deaths.
🔹 Meanwhile, in China, floods affected residents of Yichang, Hubei Province.
🔹 The volcano Nevado del Ruiz recorded an increase in its activity and observed another ash emission.
🔹 A mountainside collapsed on a medieval monastery in Georgia.

AUGUST 28, 2023
🔺 Storm Rhea hit Korsica, causing fatalities.
🔺 Hurricane winds and tornadoes swept through the Istria region of Croatia.
🔺 In Italy several regions in the north of the country were at the mercy of the storm and flooding.
🔺 The situation was similar in Austria, where floods lasted for several more days.
🔺 The ongoing forest fires in Greece this summer have been described as the deadliest in Europe.
🔺 A magnitude 7.1 deep-focus earthquake struck near Indonesia.
🔺 Tropical Storm Idalia left more than 200,000 users without power and caused flooding in western Cuba.
🔺 A state of emergency was even declared in several West Virginia counties due to excessive rainfall.

AUGUST 29, 2023
🔹 A new wave of floods occurred in Primorsky Krai of Russia. The strongest flood led to the isolation of twenty-one settlements and the evacuation of more than 1,000 residents.
🔹 At the same time, on the opposite side of the country, in Krasnodar Krai, forest fires covering about 120 hectares engulfed Gelendzhik.
🔹 Strong winds with hail hit some regions of Poland and Germany.
🔹 In the ski resort of Zermatt, in Switzerland, snow fell, although a couple of days before there was an abnormal heat wave.
🔹 In the town of Erzincan, Turkey, shocked not only the residents who had to flee from raging mudslides, but also everyone who saw the footage.

🔸 After the typhoon subsided, heavy rains fell in Manila, the capital of the Philippines.
🔸 On the same day in Mexico, in the city of Guadalajara, some neighborhoods were so flooded that the water almost reached the roofs of cars.

SEPTEMBER 1, 2023
🔹 An impressive amount of rainfall by local standards fell in the Coachella Valley in southern Californian state.
🔹 In southern Nevada, intense precipitation led to flash floods in Las Vegas. Over 6,000 people were left without power.
🔹 A storm cyclone passed over Paraguay. It was accompanied by hail in several departments and damaged houses, as well as cassava and other crops.
🔹 In Indonesia, a fire broke out on the slopes of the Sumbing volcano. Numerous tourists climbing the mountain had to be evacuated.
🔹 Late in the evening Typhoon "Saola" entered the coastal waters of Hong Kong. The local observatory reported winds with a maximum sustained speed more than 121 mph and a record storm surge that exceeded the norm by almost 4 meters.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2023
💠 The next day, the Saola reached southern China. In Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, the severe flooding has left many residents without communications and food.
Meteorologists have already called this typhoon the most violent in the last 70 years.
💠 On the same day, the state of Arizona, USA, was covered with a powerful sandstorm. Despite warnings, the elements took many Americans by surprise.
💠 In Europe, heavy hail and rain caused flash floods in Mirandela and Valpassos, Portugal.

Some people still believe that all the cataclysms happening on the planet are man-made or caused by anthropogenic factors.
