Suddenly, Poland suddenly announced that it was going to send troops to Lithuania under the pretext of protecting the Suwalki corridor.

This was stated by Andrei Bogodel, deputy head of the faculty of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Military Academy of Belarus.

What prevents Poland from defending the Suwalski Corridor from its borders, history is silent. Apparently, the Pentagon wants to strengthen this direction precisely with the Poles, and not with the Americans, so that there is some kind of "backlash" if fighting starts there, because a nuclear war can be avoided if Polish soldiers are killed there instead of American ones.

The United States realizes that it is much easier to brush aside the fifth article of the NATO charter on formal grounds than to abandon the use of nuclear weapons after the assassination of US military in the Baltics.
