Centrist bore goes after RMT’s Eddie Dempsey & gets rinsed.

False allegations against the RMT's Eddie Dempsey accusing him of supporting Tommy Robinson have resurfaced.
Right, so for those of us frequenting social media, we’re well aware of the tiresome bores that get regularly platformed to spout off about whatever has them wailing into their quinoa that day and one that happens to get on my wick when he pops up now and again is Femi Oluwole, initially as an ardent remainer during and post the Brexit vote who was enough to put even other remainers off with his particular brand of whinge, but even as that argument has died down his strive for relevance has made him no less of an article since. This week though, he’s happened across my attention for attacking RMT union Deputy Eddie Dempsey, and raking up was I thought was frankly old news by this time, that had already been widely discredited, but that he claims this is personal and he needed to get off his chest for the sake of his own mental health. Now, Oluwole spouted off about this particular issue last year when it was in the news and faced being sued by Dempsey if he didn’t pack things in, but now that a year has passed and the deadline for that libel challenge from Dempsey has passed, he decided to do it again basically, but made the caveat that all of what he was going to say in his video, was just theory. Just theory, so it is his opinion and free speech means you can’t be sued for having an opinion, so he’s setting out his stall for whatever he followed up with and that was to accuse Eddie Dempsey of again having found common cause with Tommy Robinson and his supporters, implying Dempsey is a racist.
Now, at this point it is worth going over what Eddie Dempsey has said and where he was coming from, when he said it, because all of this blew up last year following a speech Dempsey made, where Dempsey said: ‘Whatever you think about people who turn out for Tommy Robinson, or any other demos or any other march like that, there’s one thing that unites them people, beyond whatever other bigotry that’s going on, is their hatred of the liberal left and they are right to hate them, they are a threat, because they are the people who have seen their industries taken away, or captured their Labour Party and are now talking to them like they’re the scum of the Earth. There are too many in the Labour Party right now and they’ve made a calculation, that there’s a certain section at the top end of the working class in alliance with people they calculate, from ethnic minorities and the liberals, that that’s enough to get them into power. And they believe that that alliance is all they need, that they can disregard all of the working class people.’
Right, so that speech caused hell up last year, because people, not least Femi Oluwole here, are claiming it indicates Dempsey’s support for Tommy Robinson, for the English Defence League and the like, but it doesn’t. It’s a warning.
