Chef Tyler Mader, like many of us, became frustrated with America's current political divide. So what's a chef to do? He created the Patriot Sandwich as an attempt to bring event the most disagreeing Republicans and Democrats together around the dinner table. Tyler is back in the Blend kitchen to show us how it's done! For more information on Tyler and his "Trad to Rad" style of cooking, visit TylerMader.com. And check out the recipe below: The Patriot Chargrilled Jerk Chicken Breast topped w/ Crispy Prosciutto, Melted Provolone, Applewood Smoked Bacon and Homemade Ranch served atop a Brown Butter Toasted Bakery Roll ..... Now that's how you turn a Traditional Chicken Breast RAD!!!! Ingredients: Chicken Breast 1 slice Provolone cheese 1 thin slice Prosciutto 1 strip Applewood Smoked Bacon 1 tbsp Ranch dressing 1 tbsp softened butter 1 Bakery roll Instructions: Preheat oven to broiler setting. Spread softened butter on both cut sides (top and bottom) of bakery roll. Place on top rack in oven and toast (watch closely) until golden brown. Preheat outdoor grill to med-high setting. Lightly season chicken breast with Lawry’s seasoning salt or personal favorite chicken seasoning. Grill until instant read thermometer reads 165 degrees internal temperature (safe zone). Just prior to desired internal doneness, place Provolone and Prosciutto slices on chicken breast, continuing to grill until 165 degrees (cheese melted and prosciutto crispy). Remove chicken breast from grill and place on toasted bun. Top with cooked bacon slices and drizzle with Ranch dressing.
