The Joys of Adopting Kids with Special Needs

Kevin and Paula Burckhard have three biological children - Elizabeth, Samuel, and Grace. When Grace was born they thought their hopes and dreams in life were gone. Grace was diagnosed with Down syndrome. But as she grew up, her parents came to realize that grace is a beautiful gift. That's when the Burckhards looked into adoption and added 3 more kids to their family, all orphans with Down syndrome. They say they probably can't adopt more kids, but they will never stop advocating for kids who just want a family of their own. We're excited to welcome Kevin to the Blend to share his family's story!
