Emyooga money - Billions of shillings lost in Lubaga North as LCs are sidelined

Government could continue losing billions of funds injected in different developmental projects intended to empower the vulnerable poor if local council leaders continue to be sidelined.
The office of the Inspector General of Government has learnt that of the 3.2B shillings sent to Lubaga Division under Emyooga program, over 1B shillings meant for Lubaga North constituency could have been misappropriated.
This was disclosed at a meeting between officials from the Inspectorate of Government and local council chairpersons from Lubaga North Constituency that was held at the office of the President in Kampala.
