All Lights Green for the Icebox; Terraria (modded) Ep 38

I manage to get a pylon for the Desert and Snow biomes, but I'm still at a loss for how I should progress onwards for this. It seems like I need better armor and weapons but it seems I lack the means to get materials to make such things...
