The UN & You with Jaspreet Boparai - Feb 19 - The Future of Local Democracy

Jaspreet Boporai and Gill Booth are back with the UN & You to warn you - if you think "Three Waters" was the biggest attack on ratepayers' assets - think again...

If you still think rubbish/water/toilets when you think 'Council', changes are afoot that will make local government "the champion of wellbeing, diversity and equity" 🤡

Delivery of services and infrastructure will take a backseat 👎

The "Independent" panel tasked for the "Future for Local Government" review has released a report “to identify how our system of local democracy and governance needs to evolve over the next 30 years, to improve the wellbeing of New Zealand communities and the environment, and actively embody Te Tiriti partnership”.

(Submissions/objections close 28th Feb)

What exactly does this "report" contain? 🤔

How independent is the panel that carried out the review? 🤔

Who initiated this review? All this and more in this webinar with Jaspreet & Gill.
