we're going to look at the Majesty of God we're going to take a look in Psalm 111 again we started there a few days ago and we're going to look here at another verse so Psalm 111 reading it all praise the Lord I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart in the company of the upright in the congregation greater The Works of the Lord studied by awe who Delight in them full of Splendor and Majesty is his work and his uprightness and his righteousness endures forever he has caused his wondrous Works to be remembered the Lord is gracious and merciful when we look at verse 3 we see that he is full of Splendor and Majesty full of Splendor and Majesty is his work and his righteousness endures forever the word splendor means Beauty it means Authority this is strength and honor someone who would be considered Splendid is someone to be honored and exalted this would be someone of royalty when we look at the word majesty this is a very similar usage and a very similar word and it means what is beautiful and instills ah we ascribe high value of status to someone that is majestic among people someone who is majestic is among the highest status and these words are very closely used in a Hebrew scholar sums it up by saying as far as Splendor and Majesty is concerned on it's literally honor and majesty - Majesty which illustrates his glorious Perfections here we see the Perfection of God he is perfection he exemplifies Perfection there is no one that has the Perfection of God except the God man Jesus Christ
