Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Wednesday dismissed any concerns about his health or ability to serve out his leadership duties at his first press conference since his two highly-publicized medical episodes.
"I will finish my term as leader and I will finish my Senate term," the defiant McConnell, 81, told the crowded gaggle of reporters.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration requesting unredacted records and emails from President Joe Biden’s time as vice president that show his communications team working with one of his son’s business associates to squash stories about Burisma.

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) stood firm on his position to hold up military nominations in the Senate over its abortion policy despite a new Pentagon media pressure campaign. On Tuesday, the Department of Defense sent the civilian leaders of the Navy, Army, and Air Force to protest Tuberville's holds in a string of media appearances, and it published a news story on the DOD website regarding the effects of the holds. Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro even suggested Tuberville was aiding communists in an interview on CNN.
