Delivered during the Evenfall service, 9/3/2023. Paul's language reveals his deep affection for the church at Philippi. As we make our way through this text, we will pay particular attention to the relationship between Paul as the shepherd of the church and the congregation as his flock. We will learn valuable lessons for developing a healthy, effective, powerful and loving church in the bond that exists between them. Ultimately we will apply those lessons to ourselves as we work to please and bring joy to our Lord in the way that Philippi pleased and brought joy to Paul. And ultimately to be a small sampling of His beloved church.
