In this video, Luis Villegas and I do another one of our Flamenco Covers. This time, it's a tune originally released by Ten Years After: I'd Love To Change The World.

Ten Years After - I'd Love To Change The World - Flamenco Cover - Ken Tamplin and Luis Villegas

My older brother Richard started my fire of playing guitar at the age of six.

I was born in 1963 and I remember when this song came out in 1971. I wanted to learn it so bad, I was willing to spend as much time as necessary to do so!

Even though I started playing guitar at a very early age, I couldn't get enough of it, and by the time I turned eight years old when this song came out, it was all I wanted to do!

It took about six months to learn the song and, thankfully, my older brother knew how to play it and taught it to me note for note (many years later, I also learned all of the solos of the amazing Alvin Lee).

I will be 60 this year and I never imagined that I would be revisiting this song with a completely new and different interpretation.

But I also feel like there are a lot of people out there like myself that like a new fresh approach to such an epic piece to give us the opportunity to relive and re-experience it once again in a different way.

I enlisted my buddy Luis Villegas, who is an absolutely phenomenal guitarist, to work up parts with him that maintain the integrity of this song, but also give it a Flamenco flare.

We hope you like it as much as we enjoyed making it for you!
