Wow, I still can't believe it. My dream came true. I got to visit the mysterious Socotra Island in Yemen: it's a prehistoric landscape, filled with numerous endemic species of trees and animals you can only find here and nowhere else on Earth.

Because of its remoteness, and then because of the conflict in Yemen, Socotra has been off-limits to the vast majority of tourists. But I made it 💛
