Space...the Final Frontier. Those words were heard for the first time on the NBC television network September 8th, 1966, with the airing of the first episode of Gene Roddenberry's "Wagon Train to the Stars" Star Trek when the network aired "The Man Trap".

The original Star Trek series aired from 1966-1969 with 79 episodes which spawned an animated series titled Star Trek: The Animated Series which aired its first episode on September 8, 1973, lasting twenty-two episodes over two seasons. featuring the voices of the original cast except Walter Koeing who would write an episode of the series titled "The Infinite Vulcan".

There have been books, multiple spin-off series, board and video games along with a current total of 13 movies based on Gene Roddenberry's creation.

Tonight, is a celebration of Roddenberry's vision and those who helped to bring it to life!

The Human Adventure Continues.
