What Makes A Corvette?

what are the questions I hear about a lot when designing ships is what makes a class of ship a class of ship. For instance what makes a Corvette a Corvette in lieu of say a frigate or Destroyer. well in this video I'll try to clarify ship classes a bit starting with the humble Corvette.
