A Bay Area group is putting on a fundraiser to help relief efforts
A Bay Area group is putting on a fundraiser to help relief efforts in Maui after the deadly wildfires. Beach Break Entertainment will have a Hawaiian-themed event with ukulele and hula performances and they'll screen Moana in Half Moon Bay. All of the proceeds will benefit the Hawaii Community Foundation Maui Strong Fund to help with wildfire recovery efforts. For Bay Area resident Julie Mell, of Beach Break Entertainment, it’s personal. Her daughter lives in Lahaina. The fundraiser is Friday at the San Benito House Cantina Garden in Half Moon Bay. The garden doors will open at 6:30 p. Entertainment starts at 7 and the movie starts at 8. Tickets for adults are $20 and kids and seniors are $15.
