Wandsworth Prison: Jail break 'waiting to happen', says ex inmate

A former Wandsworth prison inmate has told Sky News that a jail break at the site was "waiting to happen" and was a "crazy failure" by staff who work there.

David Shipley was jailed for fraud in 2020 and served 19 months - half of it in Wandsworth Prison.

It comes after fugitive Daniel Abed Kha life broke out of the Category B facility by holding on to straps underneath a food truck to make his getaway
