"If You're So Depressed How Come You're Eating Pizza?" (Corey Haim, Lucas 1986) [Music Video] (2023)

Music video/visualizer for "If You're So Depressed How Come You're Eating Pizza? (Dance Mix)" inspired by the 1986 film "Lucas" starring Corey Haim, Charlie Sheen, Kerri Green, and Winona Ryder.. taken from the new musical album in tribute of the film entitled "Lucas Soundtrack 1986: The Dance Mix Collection" produced by myself, available on all streaming platforms!!

As a kid, I always thought the scene where Maggie broke a date with Lucas (because Cappie was sad that his girlfriend broke up with him) was stupid. Especially when Lucas decided to get snarky...

"If you're so depressed, how come you're eating pizza?"
Even though Lucas knew the answer already..
"GO! Eat pizza! Don't let ME spoil your depression..."

As a kid, I thought (and still do) that Lucas was acting like a selfish jerk, only thinking about himself, ignoring Cappie's broken heart in the name of narcissistic & egocentric lust.

Cappie was heartbroken, devastated.. Maggie wanted to be there him, show friendly support and cheer him up with a little pizza (and later on, make out with Cap in front of the pizza parlor like a common whore, but that's another story)...

But over the years, I turned the "if you're so depressed" and "go eat pizza" into a catchphrase amongst friends, always remembered it, would laugh at the memory...

So yeah, 30 years later, decided to make a dance mix using that awful quote (was supposed to be like "Batdance" by Prince with Lucas stuff instead, but morphed into a Depeche Mode type dance track). But as usual, one mix became 2, then 5, then 28..... then became a full blown "Lucas" inspired musical album....
