Join Tom Trento and Sara Carter in Israel as they discuss the significance of the Latrun Memorial and how Israel has never used their military power in conquest but only in defense.

Latrun is located at a strategic hilltop in the Latrun salient in the Ayalon Valley. It overlooks the road between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, 25 kilometers west of Jerusalem and 14 kilometers southeast of Ramla.

It was the site of fierce fighting during the 1948 war. During the 1948–1967 period, it was controlled by Jordan at the edge of a no man’s land between the armistice lines known as the Latrun salient.

In the 1967 war, it was won in a defensive battle by Israel along with the whole salient and Judea and Samaria, aka West Bank, and is now part of the State of Israel.

Israel, in the name of peace, returned portions of the West Bank to their vanquished Jihadi enemies. This decision did not result in the promised peace but only bloodshed, chaos, and decades of turmoil.
