63,000 CANNABIS PRODUCTS RECALLED, BUT WHY?

A Missouri judge has dismissed a bid by a medical cannabis company, Delta Extraction, to stop the recall of nearly 63,000 of its cannabis products. The recall was initiated by the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation (DCR) because the products were not tracked by the state's seed-to-sale tracking system, METRC, and the agency couldn't verify their origin and testing compliance. Delta Extraction argued that previous regulations allowed the use of out-of-state hemp-derived THCa, while the state contended that this practice was not permitted and that more recent regulations clarified the issue. The judge ruled that Delta Extraction did not exhaust administrative remedies, and the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the complaint. Delta Extraction is also facing a lawsuit from another medical cannabis company, Dark Horse Medicinals Missouri, LLC, which purchased the recalled products from Delta Extraction.
