On September 1, Typhoon Saola hit the southern coast of China.

Typhoon Saola made landfall in Zhuhai, Guangdong.

Offices, businesses and educational institutions were closed.
Hundreds of flights have been cancelled.
Public transport, including trains, has also been suspended.
After the passage of the typhoon on the streets of Hong Kong, one could see numerous fallen trees and broken glass.
The wind also tore solar panels off the roofs of buildings.
One person died in Shenzhen after a tree fell on a car.
Despite the weakening, Saola continues to influence the region.
The typhoon is forecast to head out to sea.
