Dramatic lightning storm captured by high altitude drone

A dramatic thunder and lightning storm swept across the sky in Peterborough, Ontario, sending lightning across the clouds. Thunder rolled and clouds gathered. In order to capture the spectacle, a drone was launched and taken to a height of 200m (660 feet). The storm built and the winds picked up but the drone held steady until it became clear that the rain was on its way. The drone pilot brought his craft back to safety, landing only seconds before a heavy downpour began.
