NASA's SpaceX Crew-6 mission, which took off to the International Space Station on March 2, 2023, is now concluding its journey in space, preparing for a return to Earth scheduled for early September 2023.

During their stay aboard the orbiting laboratory, NASA astronauts Stephen Brown and Woody Hoburg, along with UAE astronaut Sultan Alneyadi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, dedicated their months to performing scientific experiments and demonstrating advanced technologies. This included overseeing a Student Orbit Challenge, examining how plant genetics adapt to the space environment, and closely monitoring human health in microgravity. These efforts aim to pave the way for future exploration beyond low Earth orbit and offer valuable insights to enhance life on our home planet.

The astronauts also deployed Saskatchewan's inaugural satellite, which was designed to evaluate a novel radiation detection and protection system inspired by Melanin.
