Last October, Yves Jaques of The Hearts of the Holy Family unexpectedly had the opportunity to meet Pope Francis personally. At the last moment, Yves reached into his pocket and pulled out one of the holy cards of St. Joseph he always had on hand to pass along to others. Yves handed the holy father the card and said, "St. Joseph wants you to have this." Pope Francis looked at the card intently, looked Yves in the eye, and told him, "Pray to St. Joseph for me."

Through prayer and discussion with Yves, and in light of the upcoming Synod and Synodality and all that threatens family, country, and Church, we believe it is time to turn to St. Joseph with one of the most beautiful and efficacious prayers of the Church, the Novena of the Holy Cloak of St. Joseph. Today, together with Yves, we will share the power of this prayer and plans for Divine Mercy for America to "go to Joseph," beginning September 8th and concluding on October 7, the Feast of Our Lady of Victory.

This precious treasury of prayers in honor of St. Joseph is to be prayed for 30 days, commemorating the earthly thirty years that St. Joseph spent in the company of our Lord. St. Teresa of Avila vouched for its efficaciousness, writing, “If you really want to believe in it, prove it to yourself by reciting the Novena and you will be finally convinced.”

Divine Mercy for America is an initiative launched in 2012 based on praying and sacrificing for our nation the way the Lord instructed St. Faustina Kowalska to do so for her country of Poland in the 1930s.
