Converted Ryobi RM300e to LiFePO4 Batteries

Replaced the stock sealed lead acid batteries in my Ryobi RM300e riding mower with LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) batteries. I used 4 Eco-Worthy 12V 50Ah batteries purchased via Amazon. The LiFePO4 batteries were an exact fit/size to the original SLA batteries.

I also installed a QWORK Battery monitor with shunt also purchased via Amazon. The battery monitor will insure accurate reading of the LiFePO4 batteries. I left the factory color LED gauge installed strictly for the operating hours display.

I also replaced the factory charger with a HTRC LiFePO4 Smart Charger purchased via Amazon. I took off the connector from the factory charger and put it on the HTRC carger (simple just 4 screws).

The entire conversion was very simple and quick. You do not need the battery monitor, but given how inexpensive it is I would recommend it for knowing the true charge state of the batteries. You WILL NEED a new charger for the LiFePO4 batteries.
