Women Sues Police For $75,000

She filed a lawsuit and requested $75,000 in damages, claiming that the police' techniques had caused her physical and mental anguish.

A male officer first questioned Dunlap via the passenger-side window as she was seated in the driver's seat, according to video from a female officer's body camera.

The police are identified in Dunlap's lawsuit as Detective Amanda Bell and Officer Ryan Haddock.

Haddock adds, "All you have to do is give me your information. After we verify that you are who you say you are, you can leave.

People are not obligated to show identification in North Carolina just because a police officer requests it.
