Dr Alexandre Yersin first set foot in Da Lat in 1983, and as a result, he had a very convincing notion when Paul Doumer, the governor-general of French Indochina, was looking for a high spot to build a resort. Da Lat city has been progressively forming since then, with its ups and downs.
