A SKINK CHEWING ON A MEADOW KATYDID (08/28/23) 🎶

This music video features what is either a broad-headed skink (Plestiodon laticeps) or a five-lined skink (Plestiodon fasciatus) chewing on a meadow katydid before dropping it. The tail was severely damaged when the lizard ran between a door and doorframe as the door was closing. Fortunately, the lizard seems otherwise unharmed, and can grow a new tail.
