10 Days of Rain! Homestead Chores + Clean With Me | Building a Lean To Hay Feeder for the Sheep!

We have about 4-6 wks before our 1st snowfall & there's still quite a few things we have to get done around the homestead. Pretty soon everything will be covered in a blanket of snow which makes everything a little more difficult. We're finally getting to the lean to that we need for the sheep pasture to cover their hay from the outside elements.

Though we're facing 10 days of rain in our area of Alaska, we're still gettin' it done! Clean with me + I'm baking homemade blueberry & orange bread with our fresh wild Alaskan blueberries we picked this summer! Thanks for joining us for another day in the life (DITL) video! Cheers...

BLUEBERRY-ORANGE BREAD RECIPE:
Ingredients:
2 cups all purpose flour (I use Einkorn flour)
1 tsp baking pwdr
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup softened butter
3/4 granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1TBS orange zest
1/2 cup fresh orange juice
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup fresh, frozen or dried blueberries
1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 8X4 loaf pan.
2. Combine flour, baking pwdr, & salt in a medium-size bowl. Set aside.
3. Beat butter & sugar in a large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
4. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well.
5. Stir in orange zest, orange juice, milk, and vanilla.
6. Stir flour mixture into butter mixture, just until dry ingredients are moistened. (Do not over mix).
7. Fold in berries & walnuts. Spoon batter into prepared pan.
8. Bake 55-60 minutes or until center is dry when tested with a wooden pick. (Add 5 to 10 min if using frozen berries). Cool in pan 10 minutes, remove loaf & transfer to a wire rack to cool. Enjoy!
