Shortly after birth Marlene's mother noticed her new daughter had an admiring visitor, noting that Marlene was the prettiest and quietest baby in the nursery. When her mother left the hospital three days later, Marlene in her arms, the same woman whom had commented on Marlene several days ago was there to abduct her new baby girl, taking mother and daughter on a three block walk to an abandoned junk yard. Giving her phone number to the abductor and asking them to call her, she watched as Marlene was taken and driven away in a white 1976 Chevrolet Malibu with red lettering on the door. Marlene has not been seen since.
