President Biden Poll - Democrats Distance Themselves

Is President Joe Biden too old? A shocking Wall Street Journal poll of 1,500 registered voters shows that 2/3 of Democrat voters believe Biden’s age should deter him from seeking a second term in the White House. At the same time, less than 50% of voters believe former President Donald Trump is too old to run in the 2024 presidential election, which is a significant contrast.
Voters clearly care about how Biden’s age impacts his ability to do the job as President – how he moves around, conducts himself, and communicates.
The same survey also shows that Biden and Trump are tied head-to-head, despite Trump’s four indictments and the scandals surrounding the Biden Administration and Hunter Biden.
“The poll, which surveyed 1,500 registered voters, shows that if the election were held tomorrow, the race would be a dead heat at 46% apiece for each candidate, with 8% undecided — even after Trump was criminally indicted for a fourth time.”
How crazy is it that with all that’s going on no one could call the election if it were held today? Now we haven’t seen a state-by-state breakdown of polls with Biden and Trump, but the two-tiered system of justice is clearly impacting the primary election for Republicans.
Let’s also talk about how age could impact the election regarding who’d take over for Biden if, God forbid, something should happen. Who would fulfill that role? One of the most unpopular VPs in American history: Kamala Harris. The fear of a Harris presidency could sway voters.
Despite all the talk about whether Biden will run again, I have a hard time believing he will not be the Democrat Party’s nominee unless something dramatic happens. So who would be the best Democrat challenger? Governor Gavin Newsom in the worst-run state in the country, or Michelle Obama with zero political experience? We’ll definitely keep an eye on what develops.
