There is no place that is safe from scale. This pest is so obnoxious that, if we do not pay constant attention to where scale can be on our orchids, and we think that the structures are clean... they will move to populate the roots of our orchids. Scale can really be camouflaged by the media. Very small, hard to spot and its a delicate operation to get them off! Watch out for your orchids, and check the root system on any mounts that you have. They will also go for the tiny tolumnia roots! Once that happens, it is pretty much impossible to save the tolumnia! #orquideas #orchideen #orchidcare #orchid #pestcontrol
