How to record Dwarf Fortress with FRAPS for HD quality video tutorial

How to record footage of Dwarf Fortress with FRAPS. This will allow for HD quality let's play material in 720 to 1080 resolution. This was made with an older version of FRAPS but the new version also has ability to capture the entire desktop to record Dwarf Therapist also.

FRAPS is not free but worth every penny for those looking to make let's plays or tutorials of video games on YouTube.
