fort and adventure mode taverns where intelligent critters gather to drink, dance, and sing
procedurally generated song and dance art forms
new types of instruments (including ones that are built like furniture)
instruments are actually used to produce music
music and dance forms are communicated through observation and apprenticeship
in adventure mode you can form a troupe of performers
a framework was added for inebriation based on consumption of alcohol
books, scrolls, and quires can be created in fortress mode
scholars of various disciplines discover facts and record them in writing
scribes make copies of texts
you can create libraries in fortress mode
knowledge can be shared/transferred via texts
visitors will come to your fortress to study your texts
visitors will come to your fortress to fight monsters in the caverns
visitors can petition to join your fortress
visitors will hang out in your tavern
taverns will spontaneously break out into song and dance
taverns use mugs and goblets
children play with toys
citizens wear jewelry if they feel like it
you can create non-dwarf sized clothing and armor for the benefit of your non-dwarf residents
you can designate temple zones to honor various deities
idle dwarves no longer "party" but instead relax at the tavern, worship at the temple, study at the library, play with toys, or whatever, depending on their needs and desires
the new needs and desires system gives critters some kind of focus bonus when all their needs are met
toppling statues in a temple counts as defacing it and will result in a curse (werecreature or vampire) in both fort and adventure mode
you can play as an animal person in adventure mode
