In the first season of Houston Texans football, then-rookie quarterback David Carr took an NFL record 76 sacks. He also set a league record with 12 fumble recoveries. Carr was never able to live up to the hype as the 1st overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft, despite finishing 5th for the Heisman Trophy. What was he able to achieve with the Texans in their first year as an expansion team? Was Carr really that much of a bust, or did he not have proper pass protection?
