2 Weeks out! Mock carb loading and peak week prep
I'm now sitting at 2 weeks out from my next Men's Physique competition! With just under two weeks to go, it is important to begin thinking about peak week. This past week I did a 'Mock Peak week' to see how my physique looks when it is full and loaded with carbs. I was full, and large, but not as cut as I wanted to be. Now this week I am going the other direction with a full Ketogenic diet, to shred the last remaining pockets of fat and to also deplete myself entirely of carbs. The purpose of this is to go into peak week fully depleted of carbs, and to follow that up with a massive increase of water intake, to fully flush the system. This will position me well to get just the right amount of carbs and new electrolytes to look full and also shredded on stage! I'll cover peak week in much greater detail next week, but for now, it's time to do 1 last extended fast and follow it up with keto!
