Kennedy Americans Podcast, Ep. 6: RFK Jr. vs. YouTube

Episode 6 of the "Kennedy Americans" podcast is curated from an Aug. 26 Twitter (now X) Space about Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. #Kennedy Jr.’s lawsuit against #Google and #YouTube.

Tonight we continue our discussion of Mr. Kennedy's lawsuits against Google, YouTube, Meta, and President Joe Biden. Mr. Kennedy’s lawsuits alleges that his campaign is being #censored by Big Tech platforms, under direct orders from the White House.

In this series, we take you on an in-depth exploration of the case against Google/YouTube, and how #censorship affects not just Mr. Kennedy, not just presidential candidates, or political parties, or activists, or content creators, or journalists — and not just Americans — YouTube censorship affects everyone, all over the world. Everyone who uses YouTube (and that’s every human being on Planet Earth!).

The legal premise of Mr. Kennedy’s lawsuit is discussed in Episode 6 of Kennedy Americans, along with an analysis of the judge’s Aug.23 ruling against Kennedy on a temporary restraining order he had requested. Kennedy asked the court to order YouTube to cease and desist the censorship of his political speech until the case goes to trial.

We were joined by #Kennedy24 campaign staffer Anita Stewart and #RFKJr campaign volunteer organizers, who explained how unrelenting Big Tech #censorship is seriously hindering the campaign’s ability to get Kennedy’s message out to voters.

Also joining the forum were representatives of the #Libertarian Party, the #ForwardParty, and the #PeoplesParty of the United States — whose candidates are routinely censored by Big Tech platforms, including YouTube.

In addition, we heard from an all-star international panel of journalists who have been censored by YouTube — either for coverage of #RFK’s campaign, or for reporting on controversial subjects such as former president Donald #Trump, #Covid, #vaccines, and the #Russia/#Ukraine war.

*Rick Walker, my co-host at Maverick News and CEO of Maverick Multimedia. Maverick News has been imprisoned in “YouTube jail” numerous times for coverage of U.S. political figures such as Trump and Kennedy — even though Maverick News is a Canadian news organization and has no stake in the outcome of American elections. (Maverick News is currently serving another 2-week sentence in YouTube prison at the time of this writing for coverage of former President #Trump’s indictments.)

*Caleb Maupin, American correspondent in New York City for RT News (formerly Russia Today; the most censored news network in the world!). YouTube banned RT and all of its global affiliate bureaus permanently worldwide in March 2022, when the #Ukraine war began. RT is also censored from all cable & satellite TV providers in the U.S., #Canada, and Western Europe.

*Matthew Tower, #Kennedy24 campaign volunteer and host of the podcast “RFK All The Way,” which provides ongoing coverage of Mr. Kennedy’s campaign. YouTube has removed several episodes of this podcast citing violations of the platform’s “medical misinformation” policy — even episodes where no medical topics were discussed.

*New Zealand-based journalist Welsh of the Welsh Republic Podcast, who had his YouTube channel taken down for reporting on the same subjects Mr. Kennedy often discusses in his platform, such as vaccine safety and the origins of #Covid19.

*Activists Jose Vega, Kynan Thistlewaite, and Anastasia Battle of the International Peace Coalition and the Schiller Institute. Jose & Kynan co-host the “Declaring Independence” podcast and have also had episodes of their podcast removed for RFK campaign coverage.

*Holden Culotta of Andrew Yang’s #ForwardParty

*Nick Brana of the #PeoplesParty of the United States, who entered Dr. #CornelWest as a candidate in the 2024 presidential contest.
