The latest entry of our ‘hyperlapse’ videos series was launched from outside of Saginaw, Michigan last summer, this space flight travels above the northernmost states of the continental United States of America. From the peak of the flight, over 100,000 feet above the Earth, you can clearly see Lake Michigan and Lake Huron from space, and eagle-eyed viewers will catch a glimpse of Lake Superior and Lake Erie from space as well.

An FPV headset will help, but you can also pan around in 360° video on a traditional desktop or mobile browser. In addition to the world-famous Great Lakes, this 360 space timelapse shows you the great cities of Saginaw, Grand Rapids and Detroit from space.

Creating a hyperlapse like this is more involved than your average 360 video production. Using a proprietary 360° camera system, we capture stunning high resolution, high dynamic range video which is realigned frame by frame using a secret technique.
