Vision of the Ram & the Goat (Persia & Greece) - Daniel 8: 1-12

This is Daniel's second vision. He sees the coming of the next great gentile kingdom (Medo-Persia) about 12 years before they rise to world power. They are pictured as a Ram with 2 powerful horns. In this dream the Ram is unstoppable, until it confronts a He-goat from the east with 1 horn. This goat from the east predicts the coming Grecian empire, led by Alexander, the single mighty horn.
