Crux Epicure Habano Toro Cigar Review - This 6.25x52 stick features a dark chocolate satin wrapper with slight oil sheen, firm pack, large double cap and faint, musty damp aroma. First light reveals a flawless draw with plentiful medium bodied smoke output with notes of a very deep zingy earth on the bitter side with a subtle dark cocoa joining in through the fairly short finish. The first third quickly comes up to medium-full with the finish notable much longer and full. Flavors shift to a more pronounced cocoa even with the earth, dripping the tinge of bitter but not sweet at all. There's still a touch of the zing on the finish with a smooth retro. The 1/2 way point comes at a slow 40 minutes with a good burn and solid ash drop, while flavors go plainer dropping almost all the cocoa and texture, just leaving a now medium bodied earthiness and a shorter finish again. Ending at 1:20 the last third at the band, brought back the complexity and went back up to medium-full, to the nub.
