The Greek meaning of Revelation is "removal of the veil, so that something can be seen." Revelation has been seen as a negative or scary book, but scripture says "Blessed is he who reads and those who ear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near." (Revelation 1:3)
