STARFIELD is the new, massive, open world game from Bethesda. Explore the universe, build outposts, build ships, trade, fight space pirates, and engage in epic space ship fights - plus a ton more!

Starfield is one of the best feeling Bethesda games. The mechanics work extremely well, and it feels like they took the time to make the game work for console controllers. Previous Bethesda games always felt like console play was an after-thought and their real focus was PC. But not Starfield! It actually feels like a console game; the control sticks respond well at their default settings, and the button mappings all make sense (except for mapping Jump to Y instead of A or B, but you can change this if you want)

The game does have a learning curve, and a massive amount of information is thrown at you at once. I suggest you pay attention to the things people tell you in game, and pay attention to the instructions on screen - because this game does not hold your hand.

After about 6 hours in game, I've still barely scratched the surface of all you can do in Starfield. But after about 3-4 hours on playing, you should have a pretty good handle on the controls.

Being only 6 hours in to a game that will take around 200 hours for total completion, or around 30 hours for main story completion, it's hard to give a score that is relevant. But from what I've seen so far, I would give it an initial score of:

This is a MUST PLAY game for everyone on Xbox, and since it's also on Game Pass (non-premium public release Sept. 5 or 6, 2023 depending on time zone) if you are not subscribed, now would be a good time. Of course you can also buy it outright if you prefer.

In this video we will start with a Review of the game, and then proceed to waiting for early access to open (they were about 15 minutes late by the way) and then go into the game with minimal commentary.

We are playing the Game Pass version of the game, but we paid for the Premium upgrade to get early access.
