Ted was a 27-year veteran of the FBI, retiring in 1979. Thereafter, he was a private investigator and involved in high profile cases regarding sex crimes and other extreme abuse cases.
Wikipedia calls him a Far-Right conspiracy theorist. Ted died in 2011.
